Facilities

The Village Hall is a multi-functional single storey building incorporating main hall, kitchen, reception area and toilet facilities and we can comfortably accomodate 60 people based on our car park with 26 lined out car parking spaces plus additional parking between the bays and upto 3 vehicles on the approach access drive of the hall.  There is disabled access, disabled parking spaces, toilets, hearing loop, baby changing facilities and shower, undercover cycle store and community garden incorporating a mini orchard and wildflowers.  In the near future there will also be a play park in the field behind the hall.

The main hall is 128 m2. It has oak flooring which is underfloor heated and is naturally light with full length double aspect windows.

There is a reverse cycle air conditioner that can give additional heat or cooling if required. The ceiling down lighters can be dimmed for ambient lighting.

We have our own chairs and tables that are included within the cost of your hire. We have black cushioned banqueting chairs along with 15 Gopak Premier white laminate folding tables 1830 x 685 mm and also 17 lightweight all purpose tables with a brown laminate.  The building has FREE Wi-Fi.

The reception area has café tables and chairs for 12 with a serving hatch to the fully equipped kitchen.

The stainless steel kitchen has a six burner electric range, a refrigerator, fridge, freezer, microwave, hot water urn, six pint teapot, crockery and cutlery.

Prices

Please note that the minimum booking is two hours and times are to include set-up and clear-up times.

From April 2026 our new hire rates will become live. Any bookings from the 1st April will be charged at the following:

*To qualify for the residents rate, you must live within the Highwood Parish which covers Highwood, Cooksmill Green, Edney Common, Loves Green & Radley Green.

We also offer reduced rates if you should fall into one of the following categories:

Local Organisations

This is for organisations who are based in Highwood and include registered charities or those who provide a club or service to the residents of Highwood

Regular Users

This rate is applicable for anyone who books more than 12 sessions per year.
