Pilates offers both mental and physical training for everyone, whatever your age, gender, size or ability. By improving mind, body awareness and focus, tension is released from the body and correct postural alignment is taught. The creation of a powerhouse through core stabilization exercises is the most effective way to strengthen the torso and protect the spine for everyday activities. Precise, controlled flowing movements mean that the muscle and ligament damage associated with other fitness routines can be avoided. Many people are looking for a gentler form of exercise that will build strength without adding bulk, improve flexibility, and enhance appearances as well as performance- Pilates does just that! PILATES exercises will change the way you move, feel and look when practiced regularly and correctly. PILATES was originally called contrology and developed at the beginning of the 20th century. It is a unique sequence of exercises created by Joseph Pilates, designed to help you achieve a balance of the body and mind. Pilates offers a wealth of long term fitness, health and well being benefits. Joseph Pilates famous saying – “IN 10 SESSIONS YOU WILL FEEL THE DIFFERENCE AND IN 20 SESSIONS YOU WILL SEE THE DIFFERENCE AND IN 30 SESSIONS YOU WILL HAVE A WHOLE NEW BODY”

Healing Sound Bath

  • Every 1st Sunday (subject to pre-bookings)

A Very Warm Welcome!!! –  to the healing power of sound with White Feather Gong.  The unique and sacred Gong creates sound waves known to benefit the whole being, mind, body and soul, quite literally.

No experience is needed.  Bring a mat, warm comfy clothes, a blanket, pillow / eye mask optional (please contact me for any details as I have limited spares).

Through very simple guided techniques that could include meditation, breath work, voice sounds, very gentle stretches, and visualisation techniques you will be lulled into a calm, relaxed state.  An array of other percussion instruments may also be incorporated as well as 4 magnificent gongs.  The body is allowed to rest, relax, unwind and receive. The busy ‘monkey mind’ is allowed to switch off.  Brain waves (measured in Hz), typically in normal functional day-to-day activities, go from an alert conscious level; The unique sound waves produced by the gong facilitate deeper states of relaxation (Beta to Theta) enabling the healing to occur through resonance and entertainment. This benefits the whole psyche – not only on a physical level but Psychological, Emotional and Spiritual level, Homeostasis within.

Benefits:

  • Time for YOU 😉
  • Helps with stress, anxiety, depression, and can help other health problems.
  • Improves focus and calms down the busy, cluttered mind.
  • Facilitates a deep meditative state – mind, body, and spirit.
